I believe those 'plus' boxes change with the skin. Try to use another skin.

I have a question for everyone with WB4.5 -- can you download new skins from the internet without a zip file -- I don't feel I should have to buy something to unzip these files and when I've tried -- all I get is each skin broken down into many, many boxes --- can anyone help

make 1 folder and put all other folders from 1 skin into it! then copy the file to the windowblinds/skins directory!

When you get to the save as dialog , select from the dropdown box , "ALL FILES" and then add .wba to the end of the file. when done saving click open and your set. No hassle!

ChristyJ,
Windows XP with the SP2 upgrade causes some system to download all compressed files as .zip files. The actual file has a .wba extension. If you follow Jason Carver's advice you should not have any problems. However, another fix is to use an alternate browser like FireFox that will allow you to download files as named on the site.

Oh and Schwagnug you can change the window background, but you have to edit the skin in SkinStudio.

christyi: what OS are you using? WindowsXP has an inbuilt feauture that allows you to open zip-files.

If you are using Windows98 (I never used Windows2000 so I am not sure whether it has this feauture), you can download ALzip Freeware here: http://www.klitetools.com/comments.php?id=1783&catid=48&highlight=zip

ALzip Freeware

I have a better suggestion.

You can get Power Archiver 6.11 for free from http://www.oldversion.com

All versions after 6.11 are shareware.
